Biomedical Engineering Foundation Nepal (BEFON) team led by its President Er. Bikash Bahadur Shrestha, PEng (Professional Biomedical Engineer) had been helping in the repair of ventilators that were not in operation in different Hospitals all over Nepal.
On May 23, the C-19 RAT member BEFON team repaired 30 H2 Cylinders which were not in working condition at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Kathmandu. The team’s Biomedical Engineer Er. Hari Ram Dawadi restored the redundant H2 Cylinders. He converted the H2 Cylinders to O2 Cylinders, tested the Cylinders for leakage, and conducted vacuuming on them. In doing so, he brought the Cylinders to complete working capacity. The Cylinders are going to be used to give life-saving oxygen support to COVID-19 patients.
